Magical Share privacy policy
Effective 10 October 2026. This policy covers the Magical Share app for iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac.
In short
Magical Share does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and files never touch a server. They move directly from one screen to another camera.
Files you send
The app reads a file only after you pick it. It turns the file into codes shown on your screen and never uploads it. With Key or Passphrase protection the file is encrypted on your device with ChaCha20-Poly1305 before any code is shown. With Open protection it is not encrypted, so anyone who can see your screen could capture it.
Files you receive
Received files are checked and decrypted on your device. With Keep received files on, which is the default, each file is stored in the app's private storage on this device until you delete it in Received. Other apps cannot read that storage, and the app turns off device backups, so the files are not copied to any cloud. With the setting off, a file stays in memory and is written to storage only when you choose Open, Save or Share. Temporary copies made for Open or Share are deleted when you leave the file.
Magical Share on the web
The web app at apps.zincirx.com/magicalshare/web runs entirely in your browser. A file you pick is read and encrypted there and shown as codes; it is never uploaded. Like any website, our web server receives your IP address and browser details when it delivers the page and may keep them in its standard server logs. The web app stores its settings and an offline copy of itself in your browser, and nothing else.
App lock
If you turn on App lock, the app asks your device to confirm it is you with Face ID, Touch ID, a fingerprint, or your device PIN or passcode. The check happens in the operating system. The app never sees your face, fingerprint or PIN, only whether the check succeeded.
Camera
The camera is used only while the Receive screen is open, to read the codes on the sender's screen. Camera frames are analysed in memory one at a time and are never recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Keys and settings
Each time you open Receive, the app creates a new encryption key that is never stored. The app stores a few settings on your device only: whether diagnostics, App lock and Keep received files are on, whether you have seen the flashing screen notice, whether Pro is unlocked, and when your free trial started.
Purchases
The free trial and the optional one-time Pro unlock are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your payment details or your identity. The app only learns whether Pro is unlocked and when the trial started, and keeps that on your device.
Diagnostics
If you turn on diagnostics, the app shows link statistics and writes them to your device's system log. They contain frame rates and speeds, never file names or contents, and stay on your device.
Internet and third parties
The Magical Share apps do not connect to the internet. The Android app does not even request internet access. The app contains no third-party code that collects data. When you choose Open or Share, the file goes to an app you pick, and that app's privacy policy applies.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. You keep all your rights under data protection laws such as the GDPR and Turkey's Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), and you can contact us at any time.
Changes and contact
