2. Non-Custodial Architecture & Zero Data Collection

Simple BTC Wallet is a 100% self-custodial (non-custodial) Bitcoin software wallet. Neither scimatic (SCIMATIC YAZILIMLARI DANISMANLIK HIZMETLERI TICARET VE SANAYI LIMITED SIRKETI) nor its affiliates collect, store, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data:

• No Personal Information Collected: Simple BTC Wallet does not require user registration, accounts, names, email addresses, phone numbers, location data, or KYC identity documents.
• Local Hardware-Backed Key Storage: Your 12-word recovery phrase (BIP39 mnemonic), private keys (BIP32/BIP84), and optional 6-digit PIN are generated locally on your device and encrypted inside your device's hardware-backed secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). They never leave your device.
• No Custodial Access: Because Simple BTC Wallet is strictly non-custodial, scimatic never holds, custodies, or accesses your funds, private keys, or recovery phrase, and cannot recover a lost seed phrase or reverse Bitcoin network transactions.
• No Analytics or Advertising SDKs: The application contains no third-party advertising networks, behavioral trackers, or telemetry SDKs.

3. Device Permissions Used by Simple BTC Wallet

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA / NSCameraUsageDescription): Requested only when you tap the QR scanner button on the Send screen to scan a recipient's Bitcoin QR code (bitcoin: URI or bc1q... address). Camera frames are processed strictly in memory on your device in real time and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
• Biometric Authentication (android.permission.USE_BIOMETRIC / android.permission.USE_FINGERPRINT / NSFaceIDUsageDescription): Used optionally if you enable biometric unlock or transaction signing confirmation. Biometric verification is performed entirely by your device's operating system (Android BiometricPrompt / iOS LocalAuthentication); Simple BTC Wallet never accesses or stores raw biometric data.
• Internet Access (android.permission.INTERNET): Used to communicate over encrypted HTTPS connections with public Bitcoin blockchain indexer endpoints and public exchange rate APIs to display your wallet balance, estimate network fees, and broadcast locally signed raw transactions.

4. Public Blockchain & Network Requests

To operate as a Bitcoin wallet, Simple BTC Wallet connects directly from your device via HTTPS (TLS) to public APIs:

• mempool.space API (https://mempool.space/api): Queries public Bitcoin address UTXOs, transaction histories, and recommended network fee rates, and broadcasts your locally signed raw transactions to the Bitcoin peer-to-peer network.
• Coinbase Public Spot Price API (https://api.coinbase.com/v2/prices): Retrieves public BTC reference exchange rates (USD, EUR, GBP, TRY) for local display conversion.

Please note that the Bitcoin blockchain is a public, immutable ledger. Any transaction you sign and broadcast (including recipient address, change output, Bitcoin miner fee, and the transparent 0.5% wallet service fee output) is publicly visible on the Bitcoin network.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

scimatic (SCIMATIC YAZILIMLARI DANISMANLIK HIZMETLERI TICARET VE SANAYI LIMITED SIRKETI) does not maintain any user accounts or server-side databases of Simple BTC Wallet users. All wallet data resides exclusively on your device. You may permanently delete all locally stored wallet keys, settings, and PIN credentials at any time by:

1. Opening Simple BTC Wallet → Settings → Reset / Wipe Wallet, or
2. Uninstalling Simple BTC Wallet from your device (Android backups are disabled via android:allowBackup="false" so encrypted key material is never uploaded to cloud backups).

Always ensure you have written down your 12-word recovery phrase offline before wiping or uninstalling the application.

6. Children's Privacy

Simple BTC Wallet is a financial and cryptocurrency utility intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly target or collect any information from children under 18.
